An Islander at heart, Kelsey Parker was born and raised in Nanaimo, BC. She began her journey to architecture at Vancouver Island University where she received her Bachelor of Interior Design degree in 2017. She was then accepted to the University of Calgary to pursue her Masters of Architecture. During her final year she had the opportunity to study in Barcelona, Spain with a focus on affordable housing.
Her interest in construction further amplifies her ability to understand how projects are built which allows her to create highly durable, functional designs that leave a lasting impression on the people who interact with her work. She understands how minute details can impact and change people’s lives in a small or large way.
Kelsey is excited about the potential of wood in the design and construction industry and is inspired by architects who push the limits of this material. She is a passionate woodworker herself and spends much of her time building small furniture projects.
