Michele Hayden is a Senior Architectural Designer with more than 20 years of experience delivering thoughtfully resolved residential, mixed-use, and institutional projects across British Columbia and Canada. Since joining Checkwitch Poiron Architects in 2021, she has contributed to projects through all phases of design and documentation, bringing a highly refined design sensibility and deep technical understanding to every stage of project delivery.
Prior to CPA, Michele worked with several highly respected architectural firms including HCMA, James KM Cheng Architects, Kohn Shnier Architects, and DYS Architects. Her experience spans high-end custom homes, multi-family residential developments, and civic architecture, giving her a broad understanding of how to balance design ambition with technical execution and constructability. She is particularly skilled in construction detailing and consultant coordination, and is known for her ability to calmly navigate complex technical and design challenges while maintaining project clarity and momentum.

She works closely with clients to understand their goals and develop architectural responses that are both elegant and highly functional.
